Paramount Skydance Set to Eliminate Around 2,000 American Positions – Update

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing about 2,000 positions in the United States as part of a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are anticipated, as the firm aiming to reveal all specifics via its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.

Prior news stated that Paramount was looking to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

Until December 2024, Paramount retained almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization has not provided a response to a request for comment.
